James Clarkson, MUFON State Director for Washington, will speak in Portland on January 31, 2016, at the Mission Theater in Northwest Portland as part of McMenamins Paranormal Pub events.
Clarkson will talk about his 30 years of UFO research and investigation efforts. He will highlight some of the over 700 UFO events in the Pacific Northwest since the modern era of UFOs began in the late 1940s.
In addition to his many UFO investigations, Clarkson is also the author of Tell My Story: June Crain, the Air Force & UFOs. Books like this, painstakingly researched by dedicated UFO researchers like Clarkson, help fill in the small but important gaps in the secret history of UFOs and our government. Crain was for many years a secretary for Project Blue Book at Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH. She was privy to many "rumors" of UFO artifacts and alien bodies, which today many UFO researchers think may very well still be stored at Wright-Patterson AFB.
The USAF's Project Blue Book is now seen as an exercise in sham UFO investigation. It was meant from its inception to be the public (relations) face of UFO investigation for the air force. Its purpose was to divert attention (especially from the mainstream media) from the seriousness of the UFO situation so that real investigation of national security-related events could happen elsewhere in strictest secrecy.
Clarkson's book supports this conclusion reached over many years research by other citizen-initiated UFO investigations by APRO, NICAP, MUFON, and other investigative organizations.
